Environmental Management Accounting (EMA) practices and plastic pollution control in selected food and beverage firms

This study investigated the relationship between EMA and plastic pollution control. The concentrated on Food Beverage manufacturing companies since they use goods to package their products. Plastic products are discarded once have served purpose, which pollutes environment. A quantitative approach was adopted, with 124 self-completed questionnaires being administered financial managers, management accountants, factory accountants chief of 38 selected food beverage firms in Durban. findings revealed a significant environmental information environmentally-related activities. Environmental also had positive corporate strategy. Moreover, strong discovered An analysis link activities control an insignificant relationship. strategy suggests that within industry must put place sustainable strategies, whereby eco-friendly disposal initiatives be implemented for waste management.
